Traditionally, Bargello is a form of needlework embroidery. The inspiration of Marge Edie brought Bargello from embroidery to fabric quilting. Since my medium is glass, I choose to represent Bargello in glass.

I create the value scale needed for Bargello by modifying the glass color with fired vitreous paint applications. Matting, stippling, stamping, screen printing; whatever I need to do to add pattern and modify the value scale is done to the glass surface with vitreous paint.
